The SNB has been diversifying FX reserves into equities and corporate bonds over the years and this trend may stand to reverse after today.

The thinking is that they may dump U.S tech stocks, to raise USD, to buy Swiss Francs to keep CHF stronger. Around 25% of their FX reserves currently sit in equities.

Това не го бях забелязал, че може би щяли да продават акциите си. Гледах новините в Блумбърг и там цялата драма беше около изненадващия 0.5% рейт хайк на швейрците. Еми не е хубаво това. Но пък $177 милиарда, макар да не е малко май не е и ужасно много, те едва ли ще продават на един дъх.

Teжко е положението, явно пазара е бил много отклонен нагоре - след дългия период на ниски лихви + допълнително наливане на пари. А това наливане на пари трябваше да бъде доста по-малко, доста доста по-обрано. Така нямаше да има и тази инфлация.

Лихвата по 10s на почти 3.5% ме изненадва, честно казано. И вечрашното 0.75% също не мислих че може да стане само преди седмица.

MARGIN CALL: MicroStrategy said it would face forced to liquidate if bitcoin fell to $21,000, it’s now at $20,000 :rotating_light:

Microstrategy holds 129,218 bitcoins as of 31st March and is very likely sitting on an unrealized loss of +$1bn - ouch.

Michael Saylor the CEO has now come out and said that it’s now $3,562 when a margin call would be issued, contrary to what the CFO had communicated… However, at this point, they definitely would have had to post more collateral.

The share price is now back to when they didn’t own any Bitcoin but now they have $2.5bn of debt on top. Their core software business trades at $100m EBITDA 23 which will be needed to pay debt obligations. Weaker fundamentals.

The big problem is this balance sheet investment play is so highly levered and concentrated it could wipe out all of the equity value and shareholders could be left with 0.

The debt holders may also be in big trouble.

If Bitcoin falls further which at this point, is likely, then watch out. Tesla also holds a large amount of Bitcoin so watch out for a very large impairment charge in the next earnings.

MSTR CFO acknowledged a margin call at BTC 21,000. The bond market acknowledges whether a company can service $2.5 billion in debt on $500 million in revenues. Who wants the 2027 zero at 60 cents yielding 10.8%?

This short is 5% of my portfolio and can bring at 100 to 270% alone

140 pre market. That was quick. 21k is huge margin call for them

if bonds in Europe now offer more than the averag dividend yield we have way to go down. DAX at 10k will be fantastic..
